Das erste Treffen der internationalen Sattelschweinzüchter findet in Deutschland statt, und zwar vom 28. bis 30. Mai in Schwäbisch-Hall, Baden-Württemberg.

2. How to get there
Information Meeting Schwäbisch Hall, with travel information from different airports to Schwäbisch Hall and maps of the town and area. (enclosed).
3. The program (enclosed)
- On Saturday, May 28th, at 17:00 there will be a meat quality presentation on carcasses in the slaughterhouse of pure Breed Schwäbisch Hällisch and Cross-Breed animals with explanation and a guided tour through the slaughterhouse where the meat & sausage processing unit, product development unit and logistics will be demonstrated. This part of the program is depending on the number of participants present.
- On Sunday, May 29th, there will be presentations of Saddle Back Breeding in Germany in the morning and in the afternoon there will be a live show of the Saddle Back and other endangered breeds, followed by the presentation of the idea to form an European Saddlebag pig breeder network, a discussion of the network idea and an invitation to all guests to report about the situation of saddleback breeds in their regions.
- Monday, May 30th, will be used for a workshop where more detailed presentations about major features in breeding and different countries will be presented and discussed. At the end a final discussion and promulgation of a statement from the European Saddleback breeders is planned.
Costs which cannot be carried by the Q- Pork Chain project are estimated at € 125,- per person. This includes diners and lunches, and transfers.
From the speakers on Monday, 30th, we would like to receive a confirmation whether the topic mentioned in the program can still be presented and whether the title is correct.
In order to make the suitable planning, necessary transfers and reservations we would like you to indicate by reply mail, using enclosed reply document, which parts of the program you plan at this moment to attend.
